Saxon Donates Book Wrap Mailers For Local Charity Book

At Saxon, we of course love all things packaging, but we’re just as passionate about helping our local community and working on charity projects close to our heart. We have recently worked with Kevin Keable (a local author) to design and supply book wrap mailers for his Norfolk At Its Best book.

Proceeds from the sale of his books will be going to charity, so we were more than happy to help and support in any way we could!

As well as supporting our customers, our dedicated and hardworking team love working on community projects and using their expert skills to create packaging for the greater good. Our sustainable book packaging solutions were the perfect option for Kevin and his latest venture, so we got to work on designing and delivering book wrap mailers for the Norfolk At Its Best book.

Norfolk At Its Best

Author Kevin Keable set out to write a book all about Norfolk and the wonderful charities and community groups that work so hard for the area. The finished product is a powerful illustrated book called Norfolk At Its Best.

This book showcases almost 100 different groups from Norfolk and every page provides a snapshot of the stories of these local communities. It shines a light on the hard work that these charities are doing for the local area and unveils a deep understanding of some of the struggles that local people are facing.

A huge range of different community groups and charities appear in the book, including SENsational Families who provide training and support for families with disabilities and special educational needs.

The Matthew Project is also featured in Norfolk At Its Best, to share the support they provide to people who have been affected by alcohol and drug related issues. Another wonderful local charity which shared its story with Kevin is the Daisy Programme, who support anyone who has been affected by domestic abuse.

These books are now available to purchase online and in Jarrolds book shop in Norwich. All funds raised are being donated to the Norfolk Community Foundation. The Norfolk Community Foundation is a charity which supports more than 2,000 small charity groups and communities across Norfolk.

Charity Book Packaging From Saxon

Fuzzy Flamingo compiled and published the books free of charge, and Rebecca Osborne kindly created the beautiful book cover. We (Saxon Packaging) were proud to join this team of contributors by designing and printing book wrap mailers without charge.

Kevin has long been aware of us at Saxon, and came to us for support with book packaging for this project. The key point was to create some form of book packaging which could keep the products safe in transit, particularly for books which were purchased online.

Our team got to work on creating bespoke book wrap mailers which could be used to ship books to both suppliers and customers who purchased online. In total, we provided 1,500 book wrap mailers and delivered them directly to Kevin so he could get started on fulfilling orders.

This project is exactly the kind of thing we like to get involved with. We enjoy being in a position where we can help our local communities and support important charitable causes.

The team here at Saxon always thoroughly enjoy working on packaging projects which help the greater good, so working with Kevin and the Norfolk Community Foundation was right up our street!

Why Book Wrap Mailers?

When Kevin first came to us for help with his book packaging, he wanted something which would protect the books in transit. We recommended book wrap mailers because they are easy to put together, super strong and made from sustainable and recyclable materials.
