In July 2017 we (Saxon Packaging) were approached by Louise from My Chronicle Book Box to discuss a packaging solution for her new book subscription service which was just about to launch.
Louise had found our services online and decided to give us a call “I came across Saxon Packaging through an internet search and was first attracted by the style of the website and the range of packaging options that were available. I thought I would give them a call and discuss my requirement” said Louise.
“My Chronicle Book Box is a new business I launched to fill a gap in the market for luxury subscription book boxes in the UK. Subscribers are sent a unique book box, direct to their door, four times a year with the aim to share our love of reading (and all things bookish) and introduce subscribers to their next favourite novels and authors. Each box contains the latest literary releases in their chosen genre, and a hand-picked selection of beautifully crafted items to complement the books. Subscribers don’t know ahead of time what awesome books and goodies they will receive which all adds to the fun, and a subscription means they are never short of something worthwhile to read.
“When I contacted Saxon I didn’t know what type of packaging I needed or what my options were, I just knew the approximate size and what I wanted to achieve; packaging that makes a good first impression and that keeps the products safe and secure! Luckily the team at Saxon were more than happy to talk me through all the available options and what they felt would be best for my requirement.”
After exploring several options (including a lithographic printed box) with Louise and sending various samples we also gave suggestions to optimise her new logo for printed packaging. The end result was a striking two colour flexographic printed standard sized box (FEFCO 0427) using a material grade which would complement the print quality but also withstand transportation ensuring the products contained would be protected.
We asked Louise if she had received any feedback from customers or colleagues on her new boxes? “Yes! We have had nothing but positive comments from our customers regarding the box and how great it looks. All our products have arrived safe and sound at their destinations which speaks for itself in terms of its quality and it’s fit for purpose.” She replied.
“I couldn’t be more pleased with our book boxes and the journey to get them. They are practical and distinctive, we use them as a key part of our branding. I have found working with the team at Saxon to be a great experience, they have been helpful and supportive through every step of the process. They listened to what I needed and wanted to achieve and were able to use their packaging expertise to bring it to fruition.”
Thanks Louise – we loved helping you!
