We are excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for the ‘FMCG Packaging Printer of the Year’ category in this years PrintWeek Awards. This is the first time we have entered this award and are looking forward to the awards ceremony which is taking on Monday 22nd October at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
Our entry this year included:
(1) Litho printed can packaging for Ugly Drinks
Ugly Drinks is a London based brand who exposes #TheUglyTruth of the soft drinks industry. When it came to the packaging of their vibrantly designed cans they already knew that they wanted them lithographically printed. We concurred with this print process due to the detail and colour vibrancy of the artwork. There were four different designs, one for each of their flavours; orange & mandarin, lemon & lime, triple berry and tropical. Read full blog.
Adnams is a well-established and recognised brand with a great reputation, so it is important the packaging reflects this and is easily recognisable as being an Adnams product. Across the range of packaging solutions, we have used various different printing methods with the majority of boxes being printed using the flexographic printing method, but some (more recent & luxurious) packaging have been lithographically printed which includes their whisky trio gift pack. The whisky trio pack was not only lithographically printed but also had spot gloss UV varnish & foil blocking. Read full blog.
(3) Flexo printed spirits gift packaging for O’Donnell Moonshine
O’Donnell Moonshine launched in 2017 from London and are producers of spirits using only natural ingredients. Currently offering 4 liquors ‘High Proof’, ‘Roasted Apple’, ‘Bitter Rose’ and ‘Tough Nut’. Hugo Cooke contacted us after being recommended by another of our customers when he was seeking gift packaging for each of their 4 flavoured liquors. Read full blog.
(4) Litho printed can packaging for The Five Points Brewing Company
The Five Points Brewing Company is based in Hackney, East London, and has been brewing bold, flavoursome beers in a Victorian railway arch since March 2013 under the guidance of Head Brewer Greg Hobbs and Owner/Director Ed Mason. We have been working with The Five Points since producing their first three bottle gift pack nearly four years ago, which is still in use today. When Five Points had another brew that needed packaging “there wasn’t really a question of working with anyone other than Saxon” said Doreen, Marketing Manager of The Five Points at the time of speaking “we’ve already had such a brilliant and longstanding relationship with Saxon Packaging, it would be hard to work with anyone else” she continued. It was a hard decision to choose just four of our recent FMCG Packaging projects but are delighted that these four have got us through to the shortlist, giving us the title of ‘Finalist’ in this years PrintWeek Awards. We will be keeping our fingers and toes crossed!
