Ugly Drinks is a London based brand started in 2016 by friends Hugh Thomas and Joe Benn who set out to disrupt the world of traditionally sugary or sweetened fizzy drinks. The brand exposes #theuglytruth of the soft drinks industry and produces flavoured sparkling water with no sugar, no sweetener, no calories and no artificial ingredients!
When it came to the packaging of their vibrantly designed cans, Ugly had previously worked with Smurfit Kappa (the umbrella Saxon Packaging sits under) and didn’t hesitate to get back in touch. “The Ugly team has worked with Smurfit Kappa on previous projects and we were always happy with the collaborative nature of the relationships. Because we wanted to create something truly stand out and different we knew we needed to work with a team that would work with us to achieve this.” said Hugh Thomas, CEO and Co-Founder.
