Customer Service & Key Account Manager

Due to continued growth and expansion, a new dual role position has been created for an experienced Customer Service / Key Account Manager.

Reporting to the Senior Management Team, this ‘hands on’ role will involve leading, motivating, monitoring and developing the existing customer service team whilst also being the key point of contact for our key accounts.

Main Tasks/Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be extremely customer focused and driven to provide a first class service at all levels of the sales and ordering process. This will involve being a conduit between production and sales to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for our larger accounts. You will also be the single point of escalation for all large customers in their post purchase experience. Being process driven you will ensure the team adheres to all of their given responsibilities and targets along with liaising with key suppliers. Help set clear, ‘smart’ but achievable goals and objectives for the team in order to ensure customers receive outstanding service at all times. Conducting regular and timely communication briefings with the team to ensure they are fully informed of our business strategy and results whilst also ensuring they understand the role they play in achieving company objectives.

Other key responsibilities include; Identifying customer service trends, recommending strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing actions plans, implementing quality and customer service standards, resolving problems, completing customer audits, determining system improvements, implementing changes.

Key Competencies/Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must have experience in a Customer Service role and general managerial experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Experience within a busy sales environment
  • Good all-round IT skills

The successful candidate will have the ability to act under pressure and have a flexible attitude to enable adaptability in a fast paced and often vigorous environment.
